Training Course is about social and economic inclusion of young people with disabilities who live in rural areas
Who we are:
Center for Civil Society Development (CDCS) is a think thank human rights organization established in Zrenjanin, Vojvodina (Serbia). The main goal of our organization is exercising and improving human rights (particularly the rights of ethnic and religious minorities, people with disabilities and youth), advancement of knowledge in the field of human rights, development of democracy and strengthening of of the rule of law and the civil society in Serbia. About the Project
Training Course is about making ways of creating equal opportunities for young people with disabilities who live in rural areas and include them in all spheres of life as an equal members of our society.
The main goal of our training course "Young and Equal” is to raise awareness about importancy of creating equal rights for young people with disabilities and finding a way to achive their equality.
Idea is to empower young people with disabilities to participate in everyday life activities and to empower people who work with them to help them find a way.
Target group on our training course are: all people actively involved in work with young people with disabilities who live in rural areas (youth workers, youth leaders, NGO activists, school teachers, social workers, volunteers).
On our training course, using non formal way of learning, participants will get necessary knowledge about inclusion of young people with disabilities. With this, participants will become multipliers of products from our training course in their local communities.
Activities on our training course: combining of indoor and outdoor activities + one day study visit tour around Serbia.
- To increase awareness of the situation of young people with disabilities in rural areas
- To promote inclusion of young people with disabilities
- To raise capacity of organizations who work with young people with disabilities
-To encourage young people to create new ways when it comes to solving problems that matters in their home towns
- To contribute participants development when it comes in creating plans for changes in their hometowns in terms for better conditions for young people with disabilities
- Promotion of equality among young people
- To get acquainted with the YiA program and develop future projects that will raise quality of strengthening the civil society management in NGOs
English – all participants must be able to actively communicate using English language
Period of realization:
From 11th to 19th May 2012
All interested Program countries and Neighboring Partner countries.
100% for accommodation will be covered and 70% of travel cost (Apex tickets) will be reimbursed after receiving original receipts.
