Training Course is about promotion of eco-voluntarism through music and art for sustainable development issue of social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities.




Who we are:


The host organization is Association of artists experts of drama, fine arts, applied arts, music and theory, management of culture and art Fabrik Art. It is non profit organization based in Belgrade, Serbia. Through art Fabrik Art works on positive promotion and education of values and creative thinking audience, which is mainly youth. We are promoting intercultural dialogue through art and culture. (www.fabrikart.org)

About the Project

Training Course is about promotion of eco-voluntarism through music and art for sustainable development issue of social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities.


The main goal of our training course Global environment calls youth volunteers is to offer to participants new art techniques and learning methods for improving sustainable development issue of social inclusion of excluded groups of youth from urban industrial zones.

During our TC participants will be in the process of creation of new music and art made by art-recycling of garbage from nature promoting eco-voluntarism. They will present this product through music concert, performance, exhibition of paintings, drawings, masks, art and other cultural elements. The product of TC will promote inclusion of youth from urban industrial zones. Also focus will be on ecology awareness and healthy life style.

Eco-voluntarism can help better local participation of young people with fewer opportunities, which will lead to sustainable community development.

Activities on our training course: making instruments, playing instruments and using voice, individual and group improvisation, drawings, making masks, photography, video, making objects, spending time in nature and contact with nature, ecology, art-recycling.

Target group on our training course are people actively involved in work with social excluded youth from urban industrial zones (youth workers, youth leaders, play workers, NGO activists, school teachers, social workers, volunteers).

(We would like to get participants already with knowledge about music and art.)



Objectives:

- to promote voluntarism and inclusion as a most significant value working with youth with fewer opportunities - excluded youth from urban industrial zones

- to increase awareness of the value and importance of volunteering as a form of active engagement and as a tool to develop and improve competences for personal, social and professional development.

- to encourage excluded young people with fewer opportunities youth from urban industrial zones to play an active role in their communities

- to contribute participants development of creative capabilities and skills in youth work using learning and creative methods (art and music techniques)

- to promote voluntarism as a way of active social participation, and a way to acquire knowledge and skills useful for persons' professional development.

- to get acquainted with the YiA program and develop future projects that will raise quality of volunteer management in our organizations.

Funding:
100% for accommodation will be covered and 70% of travel cost (Apex tickets) will be reimbursed after receiving original receipts.

Please: As we are applying on 1st September deadline, be as fast as possible in sending to us documents and do not forget to send us approximately your travel costs from your home town to Fruska Gora, near to Novi Sad, Serbia.

Deadline for receiving preliminary agreement and partnership identification is 20th of August 2011.
