Bridge To Europe For Modern Youth (BEMY) and Kirsehir Arge Youth Project Center are planning to host an international training course entitled “EMBRACE THE OTHER”. It will take place in May 2009 in the capital of Azerbaijan , Baku.
It will bring participants from both Programme Countries and those in EECA countries to get the knowledge about themes of Cultural Diversity, European Citizenship, Immigration and Minorities…
The deadline for reply is 22 January. We will then select the partners and apply for project via the Turkish National Agency per 1 february deadline.
Aims:
- Provide tools of intervention through non-formal education by valuing diversity and the intercultural learning
- Train new and existing professionals to enable the development of future actions of intervention of high quality
- Train young people, Youth Workers, Project Managers, Tutors and all other interested parties who already work and/or are interested to work with and for young people
Objectives
1. To increase people’s awareness about European Cultures
2. To provide a range of activities through new and proven methodologies
3. To encourage organisations to take part in International Activities
4. To develop and activate the principles of diversity and anti-racism
5. To promote intercultural learning as a tool for motivating people to act positively in developing their futures
Project description:
We offer to young people, Youth Workers, Project Managers, Tutors the possibility to develop their attitudes and skills from an intercultural perspective. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange their own experiences, share skills and develop new ideas throughout the programme of activities delivered by an international team.
Twenty five (25) people will be involved in the project directly as participants from different countries. A space will be built to participate in a range of activities to exchange their own cultures, ideas, experiences and aspirations. They will analyse the various meanings of interculturality and the need of people of different cultures, backgrounds.
They will expressed their own ideas and aspirations for unity and tolerance. They will increased their knowledge and awareness of European dimension participating in a new project.
Itґs also really important for us the Intercultural learning between the participants in this training course, This training course in the same time will be structured as intercultural learning process. Through the cultural evenings the participants will have an opportunity to meet each other’s cultures and hear different languages by using the multilingual dictionary

Costs 30% OF TRAVEL COST, ACCORDING TO YOUTH PROGRAM REGULATIONS
CONDITIONS
The training is scheduled for June 2008 and will be hosted in AZERBAIJAN. Financial support is seeked for under the European Commission's "Youth in Action"-programme granting scheme (Action 3.1).
If approved, all costs will be covered except for 30% of the international travel costs. Organizations from all 27 EU member countries, EFTA and all partner Countries are eligible...
